Access to Food
YCCA is committed to helping people get access to healthy food. We do this through two programs: fresh produce distribution and CalFresh enrollment.
We distribute fresh produce each week at the West Sacramento Family Resource Center (FRC) twice a month at the Clarksburg FRC. This service is open to everyone in Yolo County, including families and seniors.
YCCA also enrolls eligible individuals and families in the CalFresh Program in West Sacramento, Clarksburg, Woodland, and Davis. The CalFresh Program, also known as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), issues monthly cash benefits that can be used to buy most foods at many markets and grocery stores. The goal of the CalFresh Program is to improve health and well-being by providing money to meet nutritional needs.
