Support YCCA’s 2022 Annual Community Events!
In 2021, YCCA’s annual Backpack and School Supply Giveaway Day brought new backpacks, school supplies, food, and resources to nearly 1200 students in our community! In November, our Community Giveaway Day provided more than 700 families with Thanksgiving meals, and 2,000 children went home with brand new coats and blankets for the winter. In December, our community donated and brought toys to nearly 1,000 children for the holidays. These numbers were a significant increase in families and individuals served, reflecting the increase in clients YCCA supported in 2021.
This year, our agency anticipates the need in families to grow yet again. Our programs and referrals have increased, our community of refugees has grown, and our agency is forseeing that more children and families will need our support as they enter the school year and holiday seasons.

Why is fundraising so crucial to our program work?
It’s simple: funds raised through special events and drives literally fills the gaps between grants, government, and private partnership funding. In addition to supporting our ongoing programs, these funds allow us to execute crucial client serving programs like our annual Thanksgiving meal and holiday toy distribution, buy books for our STAR Readers Literacy program, purchase diapers, wipes, and other essential infant care items for young and at-risk parents across Yolo County, or purchase bus pass vouchers so our clients can travel to necessary medical or social service appointments. Parenting can be a stressful and overwhelming job; added stress of financial hardship, food insecurity, and language, cultural or transportation obstacles only makes it harder. Your sponsorship dollars are crucial to our abilities to continue to help families throughout Yolo County.
