CalWORKs Child Care Subsidy Program

Helping Families with Child Care

The Yolo County Children’s Alliance – CalWORKs Child Care Subsidy Program (YCCA-CCCS) works in partnership with Yolo County Health and Human Services to ensure families receiving cash aid through CalWORKs have access to affordable, reliable child care. Our mission is to help parents pursue work, education, or training while building a path toward long-term self-sufficiency.

How Do I Get Child Care Assistance?

If your family needs child care assistance, start by talking with your Welfare-to-Work worker at Yolo County Health and Human Services. Once your CalWORKs cash aid is approved, your worker will send a referral to YCCA-CCCS so we can help you get started with child care services.

To make things easier, we handle payments directly to child care providers, reducing stress for families and ensuring providers are paid on time.
