Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions about the new CareConnect platform or updated processes? Our FAQ section covers everything from account setup to attendance submissions, payment tracking, and document uploads—so you can find answers quickly and keep things running smoothly.
Who do I contact if I have not received my payment?
Please allow 10 business days before reporting to the Provider Services Unit if a reimbursement has not yet been received.
Can I submit an attendance sheet without a parent signature?
Both parent and provider signatures are required in order to reimburse for childcare. CCCS will make every attempt to contact and obtain the parent’s signature on a Child Care Attendance Sheet prior to reimbursement.
I need assistance with printing from the CarePortal.
Please select the “SUPPORT” button at the bottom of the CarePortal for assistance.
What if there is no Attendance Sheet available to print from the Care Portal?
Please contact the Parent Case Specialist assigned to the parent/guardian noted on the Child Care Certificate.
How do I know if CCCS received my attendance sheet?
You can review your attendance sheet status on the provider’s CarePortal. Once the attendance sheet is scanned into the database the status of the attendance sheet will change to received.
Who do I contact with a payment question or to report a discrepancy?
If you have a question regarding the amount of the calculated reimbursement, contact the Provider Department.
If you have a discrepancy regarding the child’s schedule/hours of care, contact the family/guardian’s Child Care Specialist listed on the Child Care Attendance Sheet or Child Care Certificate.
What happens if my identification is expired?
If your state/government identification is expired your agreement referral will be delayed or denied until valid identification is provided.
How do I change/modify my rates charged?
A licensed provider must submit an updated rate sheet in writing, 30 days prior to the first date of the rate change.
What is a non-operational day?
A Non-operational day is a day that a provider is closed for childcare.
Do I get paid for Provider vacations/holidays?
A licensed provider has 10 non-operational paid days per fiscal year to be reimbursed. These can either be defined as holidays, in-service days or vacation days. Any additional days will be considered closures and not paid according to agreement guidelines. Exempt providers do not get paid for closures.
How do I change/update my Direct Deposit/ACH information or sign up for Direct Deposit?
Please print the Direct Deposit Authorization form and submit to the family’s Child Care Specialist along with a direct deposit form from your bank or a voided check.
