Child Abuse Prevention Month
Be Part of the Movement This April

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month—a time to come together with purpose and urgency. This year’s theme, Strong Families, Safe Futures, reminds us that when families are supported, children are protected, and communities grow stronger. Our tagline says it simply: “When we care together, families thrive.”
The Yolo County Child Abuse Prevention Council and it’s partner organizations know that child abuse and neglect are preventable. Through coordinated efforts focused on safety, education, health, and advocacy, we work every day to strengthen families and reduce risk before harm occurs.
This April, be part of a unified, powerful movement that raises awareness, sparks action, and drives lasting impact beyond a single month. Your voice matters—and together, we can build a culture where prevention is the priority and every child grows up safe, supported, and thriving. The toolkit below provides ready-to-use resources, key messages, and practical ideas to help you engage your community and take meaningful action throughout April and beyond.
