Keep Our Community Warm This Winter

This winter, Yolo County Children’s Alliance (YCCA) is on a heartwarming mission to ensure no one in our community goes cold. Too many children, youth, and adults face the chill of the season without the basic comfort of a warm coat — and together, we can change that.

Our goal is to provide brand-new winter coats to people of all ages across Yolo County, wrapping them in warmth, comfort, and care. On November 22, 2025, we’ll be hosting our annual Community Giveaway Day, where families will receive coats and other essential resources.

But we can’t do it without you. Every coat donated or dollar contributed helps us reach more neighbors in need, reminding them they are seen, supported, and valued.

Join us in bringing warmth to our community. With your generosity, we can ensure everyone steps into the season with not just coats, but with confidence and comfort.

Real Stories, Real Impact

By hosting a coat drive, you help ensure children, youth, and families in your community stay warm and cared for during the winter months. Every coat donated makes a meaningful difference, providing not only warmth but also dignity and hope.

All donated coats will be distributed at our annual Community Giveaway Day on November 22, 2025, in West Sacramento, where local families come together to receive essential resources and support. Last year, YCCA proudly distributed more than 1,300 coats, wrapping our community in comfort and compassion during the coldest season.

This year, with your help, we are excited to continue building this essential safety net and extend our reach even further. Together, we can make sure that no neighbor faces winter without the warmth they deserve.

“YCCA was a true lifeline when we had nowhere else to turn. They helped us get food, housing, and other critical support.” – Maria, Yolo County Resident

“Last year’s coat made all the difference for my kids. I didn’t have to choose between heating our home and buying warm clothes.” – Anonymous parent

“As a teacher, I’ve seen firsthand how a new coat can boost a child’s confidence. The Community Giveaway Day doesn’t just provide warmth—it gives kids the chance to focus on learning instead of being cold.” – Local elementary school teacher

I’m a veteran on a fixed income. The rising cost of living made it tough to replace my old, worn-out coat. Thanks to YCCA, I got a warm coat that fits perfectly. It’s made a world of difference this winter.” – James, 68
